- PlayPlus follow each baby’s home routine as closely as possible.
Communication between home and Nursery is both verbal and written. An individual Daily Diary is filled in by each parent for staff to follow, and in turn, staff fill in details of how the day actually turned out, including notes on activities and play.
- Time throughout the day is given to free play, language input and the introduction of varied activities.
- Whenever possible the babies go into their own garden for a play or sleep or go for an outing in prams or pushchairs.
- Older babies have mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks (approximate times: 10.00a.m & 3.30p.m) and lunch at approximately 12.00 midday
7.30am Breakfast/Early Bird children arrive
8.00am children arrive.
9.30am Bell for tidy up time. Calming music & quiet read followed by Registration and Circle Times* – Under 2s, 2s and over 3s in different rooms
9.45 – 10.15am Refreshments, Nappies & toileting, Free play both inside and outside; individual and small group activities: EYFS
11.40am Under 2s hand-washing and through to lunch
11.50am Bell for tidy up time
11.55am Story and farewell to morning children
12.00 noon End of morning session. Over 2s hand-washing and lunch.
12.00 – 12.20pm Adult lead activity with 3 & 4 year olds, followed by hand-wash, lunch & rest.
Rest time – Under 4s to sleep room, 4 year olds for quiet time until 1.30pm
1.00pm Half day children arrive.
1.30 – 2.30pm Children get up from their rest.
Nappies and toileting
3.00pm. Bell for tidy up time. Followed by calming music and quiet read.

3.30 – 4.00pm Refreshments

Free play both inside and outside, following Early Years Foundation Stage.
4.50pm Bell for tidy up time. Calming music & quiet read
5.00pm Half day and full day children collected.
5.00 – 6.00pm Extended day care. If provided, tea given to children or a nursery snack may be offered.
*Circle Time includes a variety of activities catering for all ages: activity songs; finger play; musical instruments; movement; story, children’s news, etc.
Young children are allowed to come and go from this activity – in line with their attention span but are always gently encouraged to participate.
